Let’s have a party: the PTV summer event

Relaxed atmosphere: More than 300 colleagues celebrated the PTV summer party.

Good reasons for a celebration can always be found at the PTV Group. One of the party highlights each year, besides the Christmas event, is the summer party. In July, more than 300 colleagues celebrated in a relaxed atmosphere on the court behind the Karlsruhe headquarters.

At a general meeting the executive management team around CEO Vincent Kobesen first reported on current business developments. It became very emotional during the farewell to CFO Michel Zweers. He left the company on 30 June after seven years in order to be closer to his family in Holland again (more about this in our press release).

  • A celebratory farewell for Michel Zweers: CEO Vincent Kobesen thanked him for his extraordinary commitment.

A second item on the afternoon’s agenda was the very popular internal exhibition PTV Insights. This is where PTV employees inform their colleagues about news and the top themes from their departments. So there was a preview of the new PTV Navigator features, for example. At a stand on the topic of traffic safety, it wasn’t only possible to take a look at PTV Vistad 10 & PTV Visum Safety, but colleagues could also “test” their reaction times when intoxicated using drunk goggles. The research team offered insights into current research projects and results. And in the PTV Mobility Lab they demonstrated how the smart speaker “Alexa” can be connected to the PTV Optima traffic management.

After so much input it was time for the actual summer party and some refreshment: on the food track behind the PTV building the various food stands offered all kinds of delicacies in street food style from sweet potato chips to wok noodles right up to grilled skewers.

And in fitting with the World Cup summer, the ball was also rolling at the PTV summer party: at the table football and goal wall shooting competitions. Some of the moves on the dance floor were also quite athletic. The Pizzicato Blue band got everyone at PTV going with their rhythms. So with cool drinks at hand, everyone celebrated, danced and laughed into the night. What a party!
